Mark Farleigh - Finance Director
Mark oversees the smooth running of finances here at P&B, one of his main roles is to support the rest of the team and ensure that they can work effectively, he also updates other teams on their financial progress throughout the year and monitors customer spending every quarter. Conducting yearly audits is another main role, ensuring that everything is in order. As a team, Accounts are in control of around 5,000 customer accounts which requires a real team effort to keep in order and functioning smoothly.
Clare Bradley - Group Sales Controller
Clare started with P&B in June 2010, with a prior background of working within the farming industry from Farm Shop Management through to Agricultural law.
As Group Sales Controller she is responsible for supporting the entire machinery sales & finance team across all branches, covering all Wholegood administration functions from placement of machinery orders, liaising with all supplier brands, processing of invoices and paperwork through to raising paperwork and invoices to the customer. In a normal year Clare would be involved with the event management side of the business working closely with our marketing and sales support teams providing hospitality for our customers at the local shows.
Will Cooper - Group IT Manager
Will is our Group IT Manager, he started at Peacock & Binnington in 2015 Initially as a Parts Person in Brigg. Will now looks after the IT systems and infrastructure for the company, co-ordinating planning and leading computer related activities and ensuring the smooth running of IT systems for all branches. Things like damaged phone lines, broken computers and equipment, new starter set ups, system issues and planning infrastructure to accommodate technology all come under the realm of Will’s work!
Stephen Bradford - Group Parts Manager
Stephen, an engineer by trade, has worked for P&B for 28 years. He oversees the parts operation of our five branches which involves looking after the vast range of parts whether this be procurement, pricing, promoting or supplying while also ensuring the correct level of business is conducted through our key suppliers, coupled with this is the maintaining of the garden machinery whilst continually seeking new suppliers. In addition to this, Stephen is responsible for maintaining standards and the recruitment and training of the parts teams to ensure we continue to be able to provide a first-class quality service.
Megan Bishop - Marketing Co-ordinator
Megan started at Peacock & Binnington in October 2019, previously having worked at a housing association as PR & Marketing Assistant. She now looks after social media, website promotions and news area, the Yield magazine, email marketing and any other associated printed advertisements. Promotions cover Parts, Service and Sales as well as managing the key manufacturer and franchise brands in terms of design and co-ordination whilst ensuring that Peacock and Binnington have a clear and consistent brand recognition across all platforms.
Karen Thompson - PA to the Directors
Karen started with Peacock & Binnington in 1982 as private secretary to Michael Peacock and is also now secretary to all the Directors. Her role has changed over the years with the times and advanced technology reducing the need for shorthand note taking of letters/memos/minutes which was one of her main duties for many years. Karen still assists Michael Peacock with his correspondence and also orders the uniform for the company, makes travel arrangements (but not at the moment) and provides general administrative support.
Becky Reynolds - Web & Digital Assistant
Becky joined us in June this year as Web & Digital Assistant, the role was created to assist Megan and Will with Marketing and IT related work. Previously working at Tesco in Brigg and recently completing a Creative Digital Media course, Becky is being guided in the right direction, looking after the all-new garden machinery website, designing our Machine of the Week as well as setting up designs to display on our in-branch television screens and watermarking the machinery website images. Becky has already been able to put her experience to use here in designing posters, web graphics and print materials and will be learning much more in the future too!
Sadie Richardson - Accounts Assistant
Sadie began working for P&B in February 2020 and spent the first 6 months
of her employment here working from home. Sadie joined us after working in the nutraceutical industry but lives on a farm and has knowledge of the farming industry.
Sadie is responsible for sales accounts, customer transactions and payroll alongside ensuring machine warranties are complete and kept up to date.
Sadie will be working with Mark on other financial reporting and duties, developing the efficiencies of the accounts team.
Tina Asquith - Accounts Assistant
Tina is the Purchase Ledger Clerk, her main responsibilities are now supplier invoice inputting to the system, payments and supplier account reconciliations. She also provides cover when other members of the team have time off work. Tina has been working for P&B for 47 years, starting as a Saturday girl whilst still at school, she worked towards finishing her exams to commit to a full-time role at P&B and the rest is history.
Holly Stamp - Accounts Admin Assistant
Holly just recently joined the Team at Peacock & Binnington, previously working for a local transport provider, as you will find out in the ‘New starters article’ previously in the magazine! Holly provides support to the Accounts Team and assists in the day to day running of the group finance and administration functions. Holly also lives on a farm and has farm knowledge.
