In this edition of Meet the Team we talk to the Selby parts team, the front of house faces that our customers see as soon as they step foot in the branch. We asked them about their day to day roles and responsibilities here at P&B Selby.

Mark - Selby Parts Manager
I have worked for the company for 26 years in total. I spent the most recent 11 years here at Selby. Before coming here, I worked at, what was, P&B Hatfield.
I manage the team here at Selby as well as taking phone calls and communicating with customers. I regularly liaise with the group parts manager and workshop manager to ensure all parts are in place for efficient repair and supply. I enjoy searching out for old and peculiar parts for customers but the best thing about working here is knowing that we are keeping the local area’s farmers farming.
Steve - Goods Inwards
I’ve been working here in Goods Inwards for 3 years in November, I formerly worked for Kilnwick sprayers selling agricultural sprayers for 7 years so I have a strong agricultural background, which helped me fall into place. Before this, I spent 23 years at a local farm
in Pocklington. In my day to day role, I sort the building up of stock and keeping stock in order, returns of parts and ensuring that parts are stocked and given to the correct workshop technician or customer. Another part of my job is sending and receiving from other branches in the company and ensuring the parts are placed in the correct bin location, as well as dealing with supplier returns. The best thing about working here is that there is never a dull moment with the rest of the team.
Faye - Parts Showroom Sales Person
Before I started working here, I was a Qualified hairdresser, in 2010 I started full time at Peacock & Binnington, up until now I have spent 10 years here. I meet and greet customers, take customer enquiries, search and adequately stock parts for customers, and
organise the workshop staff. I came to the industry with some agricultural background and have picked up a lot of knowledge. The reason I enjoy working here is
because of the people & atmosphere.
Leon - Parts Showroom Sales Person
I was previously a parts person in the motor trade for 15 years, I’ve been here at P&B for two years. I started here with no agricultural knowledge but I am learning
every day. Predominantly I work with the workshop staff and customers, taking in the shop and over the phone enquiries, making sure that parts are adequately stocked, and ordering parts from suppliers. I enjoy working for the company and I like the people I work
Debbie - Branch Administrator
I have been here for 6 and a half years, before that, I did kitchen design and ordering for a kitchen company and before that, I ran pubs! I came to P&B because I moved
away from the area and fancied a change. On a day to day basis I run the paper side of the branch, I direct all calls into the branch, sort workshop jobs, warranties, working for sales, parts, and workshop collectively. The most enjoyable thing is that it is only a five-minute
commute and they are a very good team to work with!
