A customised Valtra Unlimited N Series tractor has set off on a summer-long, nationwide tour of agricultural shows and country events across the UK, with a mission to raise as much money as possible for the Breast Cancer Care charity.
The unmissable pink Valtra Unlimited machine starts its journey at the North Somerset Show at Wraxall, near Bristol, on 1 May, to end up more than five months later – when it will be gracing a charity event – at Ruyton X1 Towns, between Shrewsbury and the Welsh border. A total of 23 locations are on the itinerary, as far apart as Cornwall to Edinburgh and Suffolk to Shropshire.
The tractor itself is a 155hp N154 – a fourth generation, award-winning model – which has been finished to the company's individual specification at the Valtra Unlimited Studio facility in Suolahti, Finland. This exclusive design option is available to Valtra customers seeking an element of exclusivity when tackling their mainstream workload.
Richard Miller, Advertising Sales & Promotions Manager at Valtra, believes heads will be turned – and pockets emptied – by the presence of this stunning example of Finnish engineering and its enthusiastic crew.
“We took the view that using a Valtra Unlimited in pink livery would boost the attention we are trying to attract to Breast Cancer Care and the amazing work that it does around the country,” he says.
Each day, more than 140 women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer, a figure that currently multiplies up to 50,000 annually. But it is predicted that, along current trends, the yearly total is likely to have reached 57,000 by 2030. Hence the need for as much positive fund-raising activity as possible.
Here at Peacock & Binnington - We have kicked off our fundraising tour by helping out our local Tesco at Brigg today with the loan of this eye catching N154 series tractor. While Tesco are raising funds to promote the Cancer Race For Life for Cancer Research today.
We will have the tractor at our Corringham Depot Open Day Next Thursday 11th May and will be raising funds for Breast Cancer Care on the day. Via a bake sale and competitions, donations are welcome on the day or they can be made via Valtra's Justgiving website – www.justgiving.com/ValtraPinkTractor and at the end of its nationwide tour of events, the tractor will be offered for sale by auction, with the profit raised going to the Charity
