Time to Talk – With Sadie Richardson, Accounts Assistant

In this edition of Time to Talk, we get to know our Accounts Assistant, Sadie Richardson, a little better!

What is your role at P&B and what are some of your duties?
My role at P&B as Accounts Assistant is varied and no two days are the same, I deal with customer accounts, apply extended warranties, and also process payroll. I communicate with all the P&B branches to ensure smooth running of the sales ledger and report to Mark Farleigh, Finance Director.

Do you have any hobbies/interests outside of work?
Outside of work I love socialising with my friends and family and travelling to new places, this has been especially important to me after lockdown. We live on a farm and breed Lincoln Longwool sheep so we are always busy looking after them, especially when preparing for lambing! We show the sheep at local shows, we are hoping to attend lots more in 2022 and hopefully win some rosettes.

What’s been a highlight for you whilst working here?
For me, returning to the office after lockdown allowed me to get my teeth stuck into the role. When I first joined, I only had four weeks in the office before working from home, so it has been great to be back in the office with the team and settle into my role.

If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?
I would probably be really sensible and invest the money into property, as this is something which I have always wanted to do. Of course, I would go on holiday and buy a new car and maybe a tractor!

Where is your favourite holiday location?
In 2019 we took the children to Lapland which was an amazing experience. It was -17˚C and Santa and his reindeer landed on the roof of the plane on the way there. I would love to go back to see the Northern Lights as we missed those last time.

Do you have any pets?
Yes! As well as the sheep, we also have 3 dogs. A Cocker Spaniel, a Jack Russell, and their puppy who is a Cocker Jack. All of their names begin with T, there’s Tilly, Toby and Tess.

What was your favourite subject at school?
When I studied at A Level, my favourite subjects were Business Studies and Economics. I enjoyed analysing the cases and reviewing business operations.
