Precision Farming

Precision farming uses new technologies to strategically monitor and respond to real time data, improving efficiency and reducing cost.

RTK Connection

P&B have been providing an RTK correction service since 2008. We introduced a completely new system in 2019 with 10 new base stations covering an area from Spalding in the south to Northumberland in the north and right across the Pennines.

The benefits of using an RTK correction signal include 2cm accuracy (the best available), very quick start-up time and repeatable positioning which is essential for controlled traffic farming. We can offer a whole-farm RTK correction solution to all makes of machine (with Ntrip modem) speak to us for more details.

P&B RTK includes:

  • Wide Coverage Area – 10 base stations
  • Nearest Base Solution – automatically jump to the nearest base as you move around your farm
  • Roaming SIM cards – reliable connection to the network no matter where you are working
  • Remote Diagnostics – support you remotely, and quickly to resolve issues
  • Universal Service – offering a signal to all makes of machine and guidance system (with compatible Ntrip modem)
  • Back-Up Included – no additional bills for technical support

On Farm Services

We are here to help you get the most from the technology on your machines. Speak to us if you would like us to assist you with:

  • Operator training – ensuring systems are used fully and correctly to maximise the return on your investment
  • System calibrations – in-field checks to optimise your guidance system’s performance
  • Implement integration – making the tractor and machines work in harmony
  • FMIS integration – connecting machines and the farm office for seamless data flow
  • (Field boundary mapping – RTK equipped buggy for accurate mapping of field boundaries.) – project in progress!

Telemetry Solutions

Telemetry allows you to monitor your machinery fleets remotely via a mobile device accessing information ranging from fuel level and consumption to service hours. This machine data can be used to monitor performance and make informed decisions on vehicle utilisation.

With remote working becoming the norm, the ability to monitor machine position and work status offers many benefits from a lone worker safety perspective. The ability to monitor vehicle health in near real time allows us, as your supporting dealer, to have fast access to any fault codes speeding up diagnosis and repair which maximises your up time.

AGCO Machines use the Connect system with many of our tractors having telemetry built in as standard. Speak to us for more details.

JCB machines use the LiveLink system which is standard equipment on Loadall and Fastrac.
