In 1976, facing tough on-farm conditions, Richard Bateman engineered the Agilator, a self-built machine that allowed him to keep spraying crops on his farm in Bycott. That same farm remains at the heart of R.J. Bateman Engineering today. To mark their 50th year Bateman are launching four new models in 2026. With tank capacities of 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 litres, this new range gives farmers, growers and contractors even more choice, from compact efficiency to maximum capacity. The new streamlined tank sits lower on the chassis, maintaining the signature 50/50 weight distribution for balance and stability. Our tried and trusted VG boom is now further enhanced. The new dynamic joystick control is intuitive, comfortable and built with feedback from their operators in mind.
