With hopes to raise a total of £3,000.00 to be split equally between the two charities, Lee will start at Land’s End, Western Cornwall, and head for John O’Groats in the far north of Scotland, with nothing but his trusty BMW F850GS Adventure motorcycle.
The total distance that Lee will cover is 840 miles. The plan is to start at Land’s End on Saturday 10th September and travel approximately 10 hours to Perth at which point he can rest and have something to eat, then complete a significantly shorter journey from Perth to John O’Groats on the morning of the 11th September.
We asked Lee why he wanted to do such a challenge:
‘An adventure road trip has always been on the bucket list and if you’re going to do one, what better way to raise money for worthy charities?’
‘When my grandad passed away Marie curie was a fantastic and supportive charity, and the air ambulance is significant in this area and the industry that we work in because no one ever knows when they may need the help.’
‘I hope to raise as much money as possible for the charities so that this can contribute to the generous work that they do.’
