P&B Sponsorship goes a long way – Withernsea AFC

On Saturday 29th January, a presentation for the winners of the Withernsea AFC ‘Design Your Own Kit’ Competition took place.

Cast your minds back to last year when we ran a story in the Yield magazine about the competition that the football club was running. Partnering with the Withernsea based local newspaper, the Holderness Gazette, the club asked people to design their own kit, and the winning kit design would be used on the new kit. As proud sponsors of the club, we attended the prize presentation and were even asked to present the winning kits.
The competition ran from February to April last year and saw more than 150 entries from people aged 5 right up to 80! All those involved with the club & competition narrowed these down to a shortlist of four. The winners were voted for by the club’s coaches & committee members.

Both winning shirts were fantastic designs with the home shirt in yellow and green and the away shirt in pink and purple, and both featuring the P&B logo on the rear. The winners received a £100 Sports Direct voucher and their own kit to keep.
The club took the opportunity to thank sponsors for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 season, as stated by the club “without the sponsorship, the kit would not have been possible.”

The club Chairman told me how much sponsorship helps the club, the amount of work & effort that goes into the club from everyone involved is just astonishing.
